Privacy notice

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains how Blockstar Search ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you contact us through this website or send us your CV, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are the data controller for this information.

What we collect

How and why we use it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We share candidate details with a prospective employer only after discussing the specific role with you. We also use trusted service providers (for example, website hosting, form handling and email services) who process data on our behalf under appropriate contracts. Some providers may be located outside the UK; where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and manage our relationship with you. We keep candidate data for as long as it remains relevant to finding you suitable roles, and we review it regularly. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@blockstarsearch.com.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
